Cheap 5* experience.
This hotel has seen better days. The whole hotel has wear and tear. Its a cheap “no name” 5*, we are paying under 70€ per night, breakfast included. For that price it’s pretty good. I was hoping for better, but not too surprised.
Exceptional
Though there is a language barrier with the housekeeping staff, the room was maintained clean and well stocked as requested during our entire stay. Our requests were promptly attended to (including having the air vent cleaned as soon as we arrived) and we had a very comfortable stay. Very clean linens were given, spotless living room and dining area, even glasswares and cutlery were provided. We were also treated with a selection of delicious, well planned entrées during breakfast. Though, we highly recommend that the noodle soup and congee is served hot.

Pool vibes are on point!
I chose this hotel after seeing many positive reviews, note there are two grand Eastin hotels one in sathorn and one in Payathaya I was nervous about my choice as many people say stay in sukhumvit however staying near the river is a great option. This hotel has a great location as it’s linked to a BTS station. It’s also one stop from the sathorn pier where you can do the hop on hop off river boat, river shuttle to icon Siam or use the BTS to get to places link Lumphini park. We had a superior sky room, well equipped, two bottles of water provided daily. Lots of space.
One of the better hotels I’ve stayed at
I had no connection to the Eastin and booked it based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. Super modern, super clean, super staff. A highlight was the gym on the 14th floor, well equipped with a great view of the city from the treadmills. The bar, Italian restaurant and pool deck is so well thought out. It creates a lovely vibe especially around happy hour.

Amazing stay
Even before checking in, I’ve already experienced good customer service from Aetas Lumpini. I emailed them to confirm on some stuff regarding my reservation, Ms Kachamas Arjsalee (Minnie) and Scott were super nice and helpful and replied promptly to all my email enquires. During checking in at the hotel, we were greeted warmly by Mr Pisitsak He’s really fluent in English and explained clearly regarding our room. The check-in process was a breeze. The hotel even surprised us with a birthday cake after knowing it’s my husband’s birthday during our stay.
Second time stay and we were still satisfied
We decided to stay at this hotel again after 1.5 month of traveling and back to BKK again. We were satisfied for what we got from the hotel, it fit what we spent. If you are expecting for fully luxurious service kind of 5-star hotel with every small single attention to detail, this is not the one for you, but if you only require a comfortable room with all basic amenities, bathroom with a separate bathtub, working corner and little sofa at reasonable price (approx 80EUR/night) to comfort yourself after a hot busy day in BKK, then AETAS fits you. The location is TOP! As it’s opposite to the newest shopping mall in BKK called ONE Bangkok, where you can cross the big road from the Lumpini MRT Metro station (2 mins walk from the hotel) the metro also links you to chinatown , old town area of BKK as well as to other CBD area like Sukhumvit area, and even to Chatuchak weekend Market. I also used free shuttle bus of the shopping mall (ONE Bangkok) opposite to AETAS for getting to BTS Skytrain (Ploenchit station) to explore the city and more high-end shopping malls+restaurants in the area.

Checking into W came with a little vanity, but I was disappointed on my birthday.
I have been considering whether to stay at the W Hotel or another well-known hotel with delicious breakfast on my birthday! Since I wanted to be stylish and trusted the entire Marriott group, I ultimately opted for the W Hotel in Bangkok instead of another reputable 5-star hotel. However, upon check-in, I did not experience the personal and warm reception that was promised! Even at the front desk, the staff took my passport without uttering a single “Happy Birthday!” It was indeed my birthday on that day, which was not what I had expected! Fortunately, on my second return to the hotel room that night, just as my birthday was coming to an end, I finally saw two cupcakes that the hotel had gifted me! The cupcakes, along with their box, were very stylish! They were the most stylish hotel cakes I had ever seen! This somewhat alleviated my sense of disappointment! To be fair, the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and face wash provided in the hotel room were all very fragrant! These items can be purchased from the W Hotel’s online store! In contrast to the unprofessionalism at the front desk, the team in the breakfast buffet restaurant was very attentive and professional! But if I had the chance to choose again, I think I could find better options for the same price! At least I was disappointed with my birthday in 2024! This is something I will remember! And I can’t go back to that birthday in 2024! (At least six months have passed now, and I still care about it. ).
One of best stay in Bangkok
Fantastic property of W! Gorgeous hotel with modern lux interior, professional & attentive staffs, spacious beautiful room, cosy, and clean. Bringing the extra comfortable not just the room only but the every single corner of the hotel. Specially loved the jazz music played on hallway and the bed that was extremely comfortable. Truly one of best stay on our whole Bangkok trip. Will definitey coming back again! Location is at Bangkok CBD area of Sathorn, not a tourist area but rather more suitable for business.

Is it possible to have a smoking room if you try hard enough!?
The superior and balcony rooms are currently under renovation and cannot be booked; rooms available for accommodation start from the deluxe type and above. This time, the room was a suite, but I believe the deluxe rooms have also been renovated, so they should be very nice as well. I have stayed in smoking rooms a few times in the past, and when I requested one via email this time, I received confirmation that it was okay. However, upon arrival, I was told smoking was not allowed, but after negotiation, it was permitted. It seems that basically the entire facility is transitioning to no smoking, but I felt there was a bit of leeway.
The finest hotel in Bangkok
This is my 10th stay at Sukhothai since 2000. We keep returning to Sukhothai after staying at other 5-star hotels. We tried the Club Wing in 2023, but we decided to return to our favorite, The Main, the traditional Thai interior design room where we fell in love at first. We found that the management has changed with more promotional materials displayed everywhere inside the hotel and colorful flower arrangements in the lobby. A big change from the zen style. Nevertheless, it is still a very nice hotel with good service, serving extraordinary cuisine from breakfast at Colonnade, the selected finest ingredients at La Scala lunch buffet, and the promising authentic Thai cuisine at Celadon.

lovely hotel with great view on very convenient location, awesome staffs
1. Awesome Staffs Due to delay of our flight, we arrive at the hotel almost 2am. despiste the late hour, staffs were so welcoming and check in process was so swift. also, while we were staying we stayed in the room quite late and headed out late afternoon. forgot to hang or notify to clean the room, i just asked one of passing staff members and she was so kindly took my request and by the time we came back late in the evening, room was fresh and clean with new towels 2. Location Lovely location, right next to the Lumpini park as well as Lumpini station. Although i didnt get a chance to use the subway, it was very close! 3. room i stayed on 28th floor, corner room.

We were thrilled to stay at SO/ for three nights, and our excitement was matched by the warm welcome we received from the staff. The service was impeccable, and the majestic view from the 9th-floor lobby was a highlight. The staff’s Christmas uniforms were a delightful and thoughtful touch. However, while the experience had its high points, it fell short upon arrival in the room. The room on the 18th floor, where we stayed, is in need of refurbishment, particularly given the premium price.
