Hotel Services

My first impression at Hotel Boss was truly welcoming, as the staff offered a friendly and helpful presence right from the start. I found their attentiveness quite reassuring, especially with check-in and check-out processes that felt remarkably smooth and efficient. It was comforting to know that daily housekeeping kept my space tidy, and the option for early check-in or late check-out was a thoughtful detail that added ease to my travel plans. While most interactions were pleasant, I did notice a few instances where the staff seemed less warm, but these were minor moments in an otherwise positive experience.

Room Information

Stepping into my room at Hotel Boss, I found a compact yet modern space, designed for comfort and practicality. The bed was notably comfortable, inviting a good night’s sleep after a day of exploring Singapore. I appreciated the thoughtful inclusion of a water filter, which meant I didn’t need to worry about bottled water—a small convenience that made a big difference. While some rooms offer charming city views or extra space with a balcony, I noticed that the walls could be thin, occasionally letting in sounds from the hallway. There were also a few small spots that felt less pristine, but overall, it was a clean and functional retreat.

Dining Experience

The dining options at Hotel Boss provided a convenient start to my mornings. I explored the breakfast buffet, which offered a mix of local and international dishes, though I found the variety somewhat limited and leaning towards Indian cuisine on certain days. It was perfectly adequate, but not particularly inspiring. Beyond the hotel, I was delighted by the sheer number of dining choices within walking distance, from local eateries to diverse international flavors. The presence of a water dispenser on the ground floor was a welcome amenity, making it easy to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Unforgettable Urban Retreat: Hotel Boss Singapore

9.2

My recent stay at Hotel Boss Singapore was a delightful experience that left a lasting impression. Nestled in the heart of Singapore’s bustling cityscape, this hotel offers a comfortable and convenient retreat for travelers seeking both affordability and accessibility. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the welcoming ambiance of the lobby and the attentive staff, who efficiently guided me through the check-in process. Despite the hotel’s size, the staff managed to maintain a personalized touch, ensuring that every guest felt valued and well taken care of. The room, while modest in size, was well-designed and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

Good mid-price hotel with great access to all Singapore hotspots

8.8

A great mid-priced hotel. Rooms quite tired and in need of an update and beds very small. I am 174cm and my feet hung over the end. Bed felt really hard at first but it was actually really good to sleep on, and the pillows were great. Even with my feet hanging over the end, it was still very comfortable, and slept very well.

Hotel Services

At lyf Bugis Singapore, the staff truly made me feel welcomed and cared for, embodying a warm and attentive spirit. I was particularly impressed by their professionalism and the seamless express check-in and check-out process, which made my arrival and departure effortlessly smooth. The team, including individuals like Nana and Daryl, consistently went above and beyond, even replenishing amenities generously and patiently answering all my questions. It felt like they genuinely wanted to ensure my comfort, occasionally surprising guests with thoughtful gestures like a room upgrade or a sweet note with confectionary. While daily housekeeping is offered for shorter stays, it’s worth noting that for stays exceeding three nights, it’s available upon request rather than automatically.

Room Information

My room at lyf Bugis Singapore, though compact, felt incredibly cozy and thoughtfully designed, maximizing every bit of space. I found the beds and pillows exceptionally comfortable, truly contributing to a restful night’s sleep. Little details, like a unique dream catcher and the convenience of a mini-fridge, added a personal touch to the space. While I appreciated the modern design, I did notice the sink was situated outside the toilet-shower area, which felt a bit unconventional. Some rooms might also feature a central pillar or have a shower curtain instead of a full wet-dry separation, small quirks that didn’t detract much from the overall comfort.

Dining Experience

Dining at lyf Bugis Singapore offered a delightful array of choices, both within the property and just steps away. I found the onsite restaurants, like Ginett, a charming French bistro, and 25 Degrees, a lively burger bar, to be excellent options for a convenient meal. For quick bites, vending machines were always available, and the shared kitchen was a fantastic resource if I wished to prepare something myself. Just across the road, a breakfast food court presented even more local flavors, and the nearby Fortune Centre was a treasure trove for vegetarian options, ensuring I was never short of delicious choices.

excellent location but would not go back

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights during the Taylor Swift Eras Tour in Singapore. To start off with a positive note, location wise, the hotel is in a really good spot. It’s nearby Bencoolen station, Rochor station, and Bras basah station, and Bugis station. The hotel was also easy to find as it is right in the corner of Middle Rd. There were also plenty of convenience stores and restaurants surrounding the hotel.

Convenient location with warm services

Would recommend this place to anyone that does have certain expectations on service / hospitality when it comes to hotel stays (like me). I had booked a 12 nights stay with Hotel G as my house is undergoing renovations. Key reason for choosing this hotel was due to its central location and convenience travelling to my work place. Price was a little higher due to last minute reservations (under a week before stay). No regrets as the stay was better than expected.

My experience with the service at V Hotel Lavender was largely positive, marked by staff who were generally helpful and attentive. The check-in and check-out processes felt smooth and efficient, which I always appreciate after a journey. It was comforting to know that daily housekeeping kept my room clean and amenities replenished, a small detail that truly enhances a stay. While most interactions were pleasant, I did notice a few instances where communication was a bit challenging due to language barriers, and I felt that some front desk staff could have offered a warmer welcome. Despite these minor points, their willingness to assist with requests like early check-in was genuinely valued.

Dining Experience

The dining experience at V Hotel Lavender included an onsite restaurant, which offered a breakfast buffet with a mix of local Singaporean and international dishes. While it provided a convenient start to the day, I found the breakfast to be rather average in its offerings. It’s helpful to know that the hotel restaurant is not Halal certified, which could be a consideration for some guests. However, I discovered that the true culinary delights lay just beyond the hotel doors, with an abundance of diverse and affordable dining options in the surrounding Kallang neighborhood, making it easy to find something truly satisfying.

Worry-free vacation with V Lavender

10.0

On our trip to SG, we scoured the internet for hotel recommendations and weigh them based on our needs. After careful consideration of location, ease of access, and value, we finally chose this hotel. In the end, I must say that we were satisfied with our choice. This hotel offers exactly what we need for a comfortable stay. THE ROOMS: Room is super clean and cold with ample of sunlight coming from the large glass window.

If you consider it for sleeping, it’s the best.

The MRT Lavender Station is directly connected, so it’s fine even on rainy days. The next station is Bugis. On the first floor, there is a food court, McDonald’s, a convenience store, and just across the street, there’s a Burger King. It’s also convenient to have a money exchange place. Within a 5-minute walk, there is a well-stocked supermarket.

Hotel Services

From the moment I arrived at Hotel Royal Queens, I was met with a genuinely warm welcome, setting a lovely tone for my stay. The staff here are truly exceptional, consistently praised for their helpfulness and attentive service. I found the check-in and check-out processes remarkably efficient, and it was comforting to know that services like daily housekeeping and a dedicated concierge were readily available. There was a particular instance where a staff member, Aryan, swiftly resolved a minor room issue, which really left a lasting impression. While most of my interactions were delightful, I did notice a few times where the front desk staff seemed less approachable, but these were isolated moments in an otherwise gracious experience.

Room Information

Stepping into my room at Hotel Royal Queens, I immediately felt a sense of calm; the space felt wonderfully spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The comfortable bed and calming color scheme truly invited relaxation, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like bathrobes and a coffee/tea maker. While some parts of the room hinted at an older charm that could benefit from updating, the good water pressure in the bathroom was a definite plus. It was also comforting to know that specific requests, such as a room on a higher floor or with a particular view, were often accommodated, making the stay feel more personalized.

The dining options at Hotel Royal Queens offered a convenient culinary experience. I sampled the breakfast buffet at the hotel’s coffee shop, which presented a selection of international and local dishes. While some guests found it to be quite good with many choices, I personally felt the variety could be improved and that it was a bit on the expensive side for what was offered. It’s helpful to know that the hotel does not serve pork or lard, though the kitchen itself isn’t halal certified. For those who prefer to dine in, room service was also a readily available option.

Great value hotel, the coolest air-con; excellent access to MRT station on the street corner; with breakfast buffet, and the friendliest staff in Singapore!!

8.8

Stay at the Hotel Royal @ Queens, and you will feel like one, with the concierge/reception/restaurant staff greeting you on arrival, and every other time you come into the reception or restaurant areas. They go out of their way to make your stay as pleasurable/convenient as possible, and really go out of their way for their guests, so much so, when one of the children in our travelling party had birthday whilst holidaying in Singapore, they made sure to make it something quite special, by surprising us with a birthday card and lovely tray of fruit on return to our room that day. A sweet, and genuinely heartfelt surprise indeed, with memories created for all of us that will last a lifetime! One of the few breakfast buffets in this area and the surrounds, at this price point, staying here and selecting the breakfast buffet as part of your accommodation package, is a really great way to make sure you and your children are fed, and ready to start your day of sightseeing with full tummies, or if you’re staying for business on a business trip, it’s also a great hotel that would cater perfectly to any business traveller, requiring basic standard room service in the evenings, if too tired to travel out to find a restaurant for a local dinner, as well as being able to start the day before business meetings, by fuelling up with a selection of Asian delicacies and Western breakfast staples. The menu changes every day, so that there is always something new to try, as well as being able to enjoy some of the same favourites every morning of your stay! The Executive double room was spacious enough, and was comfortable, with ice cold refreshing air conditioning on after returning from a day out and about. The bed was perfect – firm and supportive, and didn’t sag, or move around too much when one person got out of the bed, so as to wake the other person up – it allowed the other person to continue to sleep soundly without being disturbed regardless of how many times the first person, got into and out of the bed – the sign of a perfect hotel bed (the kind you wished you had at home)!!! There was also a very comfortable tub-style armchair (and adjacent small coffee table) just right for sinking into with a cold beverage and putting your feet up, at the end of a long day trudging the pavement! We’d bought some drinks of choice in one of the many shops around, and made use of the empty mini bar fridge supplied, to keep them in, cool and ready for our use at the end of the day.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay

I might be somewhat particular about pillows. At home, I’m accustomed to using a latex cervical pillow that provides proper neck support and has just the right firmness. I fully understand that travel accommodations can’t replicate the comfort of home, but a better sleep experience would certainly help me recharge more effectively. I believe this would also earn your establishment more repeat guests and enthusiastic word-of-mouth ambassadors. For reference, many upscale business hotels in China enhance guest satisfaction by offering a selection of specialized pillows and premium bedding—some even retail these items online or offline, creating a synergistic business model.

Cool hotel with a view of Sultan Mosque.

9.6

We chose this hotel because it is only 500m from Sultan Mosque and the Kampong Glam area. We thought it was far, but it turned out to be very close. Right outside the hotel, there is a pedestrian bridge. The room is nice, with a drinking water faucet, so we can drink as much as we want and take some with us when we go out. The breakfast is delicious and varied.

(What I liked) 1. The hotel staff were very friendly. 2. The swimming pool is really spacious and clean, with a children’s pool and a swimming pool that is 3 meters deep. 3. There are kaya toast shops, shrimp noodle shops, Sultan Mosque, and convenience stores nearby, which is very good. 4. There are many buses passing by, making it easy to get around. 5. The bed is really big; three people can lie down comfortably.
