Overall Good Stay

8.8

We stayed there during a weekend when there was a typhoon so, the rooftop bar and the pool were closed during the entire stay. The rooftop bar and the pool were the main factor why we booked the hotel but sadly we werent able to experience them. The rooms were crystal sparkling clean however, the towels, slippers, and toiletries that the hotel provided in our room were for 2 adult pax only despite the fact that we booked the room for 3 adults. The staff were very prompt and helpful. I just had a complaint to the reception lady who processed my check-in.

Our Go-To Hotel in Manila

My husband and I really enjoy staying at this hotel. We have stayed here on two separate occasions and both visits were consistently a high quality experience. All the staff here are very kind, respectful and hardworking. CJ, Jessa, Fhebie, Queeny, Neil, Rojen, Chef Gerald, Chef Jo, Mina, and Marlon are a diligent and accommodating team they even recognized us from our first visit! The food is really good and variety is great at both the 2nd floor and rooftop restaurants. The Mexican food is perfect and adds to the uniqueness of this hotel.

Nice and not so nice

8.4

Stayed with my two adult boys n my husband, chose this condotel coz they have a two bedroom rom with pantry, dining area n tve area, so we will be all together in one spot. The room is very spacious and big, water pressure is very satisfying with hot unli hot water. The staffs were very nice and kind. The only thing dissppointed us is the pool area on the 9th floor we did not even consider to swim so small and look uncomfortable to have a swim, laundry area is convenient with the lady helping us how to do the laundry with token, tv channels are dissappointing so limited and tv is old version not a smart tv so we cannot enjoy stayin in the room when we got tired outside. coz lack of entertainment, we did not get also a good view over the window you will only see yiur neighborhood building.

Best Hotel in Makati in terms of Location

I booked this hotel on the same day I was supposed to be staying. Walking along the beautiful street of the hotel was safe and it is like walking on a street in Japan (very quiet and not busy especially on Sundays). Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Hotel staff are very very very courteous and helpful. Rooms are clean and with amazing beds.

Excellent New Year’s Eve Stay!

10.0

I recently had the pleasure of staying here during the peak holiday season, from December 30 to January 1, 2024. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised to secure a reservation during this busy time, as finding accommodations for those dates seemed nearly impossible. From the moment I walked through the doors, the staff at Citadines Salcedo made me feel incredibly welcome. Their level of hospitality was beyond impressive, and they were always ready to assist with a friendly smile. Entering my room was a delight. The room was not only clean and well-maintained but also emanated a captivating fragrance every time I stepped inside.

Solid with some minor annoyances

8.0

– Gym, pool, and laundry are all nice. Laundry worked very well – Room came with a huge jug of drinking water – AC works very well – WiFi works very well – Hot tub!! – Super nice that you can get room service food delivered. The chicken satay was delicious and incredible value. – Great espresso drinks at the attached restaurant – Friendly staff – Room was not ready for check-in by 5pm – Napkins or paper towels would be nice in the apartment rooms. No place to hang the provided kitchen towel – WiFi kinda bad in the common areas / hallways – Elevators pretty slow and very hot – The hair dryer is stored in the bedroom, not the bathroom, making it hard to find – Plugs fall right out of some of the outlets in the bathroom and near desk – Apartment floor was sticky; felt gross – Super tiny kitchen trash can.

Working Staycation with a Surprise

10.0

Our family has often taken to staycations in Hotels within Manila to beat the usual traffic in and out of the Metro. My husband opted that we celebrate my birthday within Makati since his office was nearby. We also needed fast Wi-Fi for the times we needed to do online meetings. Valero Grand Suites caught our eye because it was walking distance to several establishments and restaurants we were planning to dine at. We particularly liked that it was right across Ashen Berry Café and Coffee Roastery, a coffee shop we’ve been meaning to try.

Holiday stay

8.0

Overall, we had a comfortable stay, thanks to Jaz (reception) who patiently arranged our transportation needs, explained clearly our billing during check in/out. Since we booked online, everything went easy. The other receptionist/interpreter (was his name Jay? Pardon me if I’m mistaken, I noticed he’s the lone interpreter during our stay)was very helpful, too, bringing up our luggages ASAP!Our airport transfer driver (he drove a Grandia, was his name Felimon? Pardon me if I am mistaken)was punctual, drove safely and was courteous! The van was very clean and comfortable! He made sure to provide us with the luggage trolley, helped us load up, watched out for our safety before he pulled out of the lot where he dropped us off! The general staff were very welcoming and efficient, always with ready greetings and a smile. Good to notice that they are not chatty, too. A simple greetings always gets my approval! WiFi was on point, good job ! We encountered a problem with our toilet, but a quick call to Housekeeping resulted in a quicker response and for that, I would like to thank the Housekeeping staff who unclogged the toilet fast and quietly! In closing, I have to comment on the toilet and bath: the light switch is connected to the exhaust fan therefore giving you bright light and noise at the same time; the faucet’needs tightening and if you’re not careful it gets hot pretty fast! The height of the shower room is uncomfortable (there should be a handle bar).

A pleasant surprise

9.6

The process didn’t start great. Check-in is at 4pm and I called at around 1pm to see if an early check-in is available. I was told it’s not possible since there were lots of guests. Called in again at around 3.45 asking what street I should use to get into the parking area as Waze directed me to the wrong way (one way street). I was given proper instructions so I was able to find the parking entrance.

Travelling with a cat, working from the hotel

8.4

Service and room were good. The toiletries were of unexpectedly good quality. The 711 on the premises is pretty nice compared to most (pet owners should note they can buy dog and cat food and litter there). We were surprised at how many channels were NOT available on cable. The keycards are a bit finicky, but we’re sure you already knew that.
