Brothers, sisters, and younger siblings, please make a reservation at this hotel.
If you’re looking for a hotel that doesn’t need to be extremely clean or luxurious, but just above average will do, then book this hotel. There are trams and subways available within a 5-10 minute walk that use the GVB. You can visit the city attractions from here. For trains that don’t accept GVB, I was able to board by tapping my credit card. However, there may be some credit cards that don’t work, so if it doesn’t work, please purchase a separate ticket.
Great last minute stay
I’ll start of log with the picky bad points. Breakfast was okay – a little frustrating with the staff not understanding my name or finding the room number when we pointed it out, multiple times. Hot tub booking was a bit of a nightmare but we managed to squeeze it in, hot tub and sauna were both nice – sauna door was a bit tricky to get in though. Literally the only negative points. Check in took longer than desired.

Nice hotel on outskirts of town
The room was a good size and very light and bright with lots of windows. We were on the corner; other rooms not so many windows; hence some reviews complain about light, because the lighting in the room is not great; which is not much of an issue when it is light until 9pm. The beds were comfortable. The room was a decent size. Fabulous views from panorama room, even while lying in bed.
Good spot to enjoy Amsterdam
Its out of town but easy enough to get to on the Metro 26 from Centraal to Rietlandpark. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff professional. The pool is a bit larger than it looks in the pics and just about warm enough to jump straight in. The jet baths in the rooms are a godsend after walking around Amsterdam for hours on end. Agoda didn’t include the city tax in the original quote I paid which was a bit of a downer on arrival.

Great location and staff. A couple problems
Loved that this hotel is so close to the Amsterdam train station and Dam square. There were a couple problems that I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The first issue was the the bathroom lights are on a sensor. So no matter what time of night you get up, the lights will go on. This would be OK except the door for the bathroom is a sliding translucent glass door, so anyone sharing the room with you is level to be woken up.
Wellness Room Stay
My partner and I stayed in the Wellness Room. The attention to detail at this hotel was fantastic. The room was lovely. More than happy to have a jacuzzi and sauna in the modern styled room. There was a fridge but they didn’t push a mini bar on you unless you wanted it.

Could’ve easily been a 9-10 with better customer service.
Room was big, bathroom was also large, high end looking hotel, clean We booked this property 5 months in advance requesting an early check in due to the time of our arriving flight, originally the property said this would be subject to availability which is entirely understandable. I messaged them again the week of our arrival and they then said it was subject to availability but could be provided for a supplementary fee which I thought to be odd as this wasn’t mentioned beforehand. On the day of our arrival we got there at 10am and were told our room wouldn’t be available before 3pm, and while waiting we watched numerous other people be given keys to their room. On our second day, we told the front desk our AC wasn’t working and the soap in the shower was empty and asked for these things to be looked at. We were told this would be no problem and if they were unable to fix the AC they would leave a fan.
Very good
The room was cleaned in the first day, however, second night I had to ask for it to be cleaned. Whilst they do leave a few tea bags in the room I did have to ask for English breakfast specifically after having requested that room be cleaned. The phone in my room wasn’t working to call reception and when on the 10th floor it’s not ideal! I had to ring the restaurant to get the number for reception! The hotel was clean and the breakfast spread was great with a large selection of fruit, cereal and juices. Lunch in restaurant wasn’t great as French fries were brought after ages and were cold! Dinner is only a buffet in the evening and I ended up getting take away most nights. Some staff were very friendly and helpful but there were a couple who were not and this let’s the side down somewhat.
