Hit and miss

7.6

The location of the hotel is very central, close to everything you need including shops and restaurants etc – it is located on a main street which does get noisy at times throughout the day and night, I would look to request a room which doesn’t look onto the street to help prevent any disturbance with your stay. The room was a good size with plenty of facilities including a good coffee machine, TV with English channels and very comfortable beds. We did have an issue which was quite frustrating though – we had paid for an extra night (Fri-Mon) with the intention of checking in on Saturday morning to be able to get ready and go out to a festival at 1pm. Upon arriving, our request for a queen bedroom wasn’t met and we had been given a twin, we asked to change to a queen and were informed one would be ready for us within half an hour “as a priority” – 2.5 hours later we still hadn’t heard anything and had to leave for the day – we returned at 2am roughly and our belongings had been moved into a queen room, but it was very inconvenient for us to simply be hanging around while waiting for a new room that we had originally booked in the first place – it felt like we had wasted the money spent for the additional earlier night so quite disappointing really. The hotel was fine and pretty good value, but I’m not sure if I’d choose to stay here again in Brussels based on our experience.

Always a pleasure to feel like home!

After going to Cardo hotel where the atmosphere and the staff were cold. This was a big change in a positive way. The atmosphere even just entering the hotel is friendly and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful, kudos to Onofre which has always a nice smile and always here to help, to the breakfast team for being friendly and smiling in the morning, some recognized us from the previous stays even if it has been almost 9 months since we came last, and of course to Giovani at the rooftop, who is a gem! The breakfast, always a feast and nicely presented. You have breakfast and you don’t need to eat for the day 🙂 On this occasion, there was unfortunately a water breakdown happening, but the staff made sure to warn us in advance and provided a bottle of water in the room the day before.

Very good

8.0

The NH Brussels EU Berlaymont is very close to the headquarters of European Commission (EU) and its metro station, Schuman – connects you directly to the Grand Place (Central Station) and Rue Nueve shopping street (De Brouckere station) through line 1 and 5. However you can only find a few restaurants/bars near the hotel. The hotel room and environment are very clean, comfortable and minimalist. The room is quite large and has work desk and small sofa in it. You get a bottle of mineral water, orange juice and Coca Cola for free in your room. The staff is friendly (although initially it did not look very friendly).

The place to gather

Husband and I , along with another couple came to Brussels to meet up with my sister / family to celebrate graduation at the University of Leuven before heading to Amsterdam and other cities along the Rhine. The NH Brussels EU Berlaymont was the perfect gathering place. So near the airport and the metro and the EUC. The metro station was so very convenient to get to with luggage. Excellent ambience, centrally located, There is even an aviary (bee hive) on premise for environmental and ecological enhancement.

Very happy, will return

8.0

Beautifully decorated and well-kept hotel. Very pleasant ambiance once you enter the hotel from a rather busy/noisy street. We love their signature sent. Staff speaks multiple languages and was always very friendly and accommodating. We had a corner room on a high floor, and the views were just stunning.

Nice hotel in a good location

9.0

The location is great, in a good area of Brussels, right near the Palace of Justice. You can walk to Grand Place in about 15 minutes. In the hotel, everything was very clean and the breakfast was the best buffet breakfast I ever had in a hotel! You had a lot of options and everything was tasty and fresh. The restaurant has a very good chef, we had dinner 3 times and everything was delicious. Congrats! Some inconveniences: – The room should’ve had a large sofa by the window, but it didn’t.

Superb location

9.6

This perfectly located hotel is an absolute gem to use as a Base for your stay in Brussels. Couldn’t be more convenient for the station- especially if arriving by Eurostar. Close to the city centre for all your exploring and, if like us commuting by train to Bruges. We did not take advantage of breakfast, so the review does not reflect food or the bar. It was clean, comfortable and quiet.

Conveniently located near Brussels Midi/Suid Train Station

8.8

The hotel is clean and conveniently located near Brussels Midi-Suid Train Station. What makes this hotel less attractive is that it is near the neighborhood of immigrants so there are always a lot of people of African origins sitting outside or hanging around the hotel’s main entrance. For Asians, it may arouse the question of safety. However, it was safe during my stay. I had breakfast on Sunday morning, there was only one staff taking care of the refill of food, drinks, checking guests at the entrance to enter the breakfast restaurants.
