Very nice property to stay in
Location is exceptional- nearby CAT- direct transport from the airport to city center. The hotel is close to everything. Very nice property, it was a business trip. A bit pricy. For my next trip more than likely I will stay here again.
Good location but poor service
Hotel is situated next to the train station for City Airport Train and subway, a mall with supermarket and restaurants. Rooms are decent too. However, lots of mosquitoes in the lobby and restaurants on the ground floor. The staff will claim this is normal as well, instead of offering mosquito repellent or using a mosquito killing machine. Other places in Vienna city are not as bad on mosquito infestation.

Very good
Modern hotel with good interior, breakfast was quite fine, various dishes, restaurant is comfortable and well-designed. We like the desing of the hotel, the bed was comfortable. Location is awful, far from any attractions, far from the Christmas Market, located in the same building with some offices; common with office workers lift to go to lounge, keep in mind, that you won’t get a beautiful panoramic view, since only first 5 floors are meant for hotel, the rest is meant for the offices. only, don’t count the skyscrapers photo. The hotel is in the scyscraper, but located on the lowest floors.
Very good
View, view, view 1. Restaurant, bar, lounge working hours- till 21.30-22 only 2. Room planning 2.1 The washroom does not have a door to separate it from Bedroom 2.2 The toilet itself has fully transparent glass doors, as well as the shower 2.3 The hotel planners consider going to the toilet in front of your family as some kind of a “Wow effect” 2.4 Zero privacy in the washroom as a result 3. Gym is a total shame for a 60 storied building, its so small and has almost no equipment 4. Engineering is a total shame The was strong wind and i could not sleep as the windows were all shaking and making noisy sounds all night long The ventilation and AC in the lounge on the 57 floor was not working No light in the conference room in the business lounge, the problem is not that it was not working, but that it as totally unavailable Still, its the highest skyscraper in Vienna with the best view of the city which is a must for visit, but the planning and engineering are a shame for such high class of the building.

Excellent
The location is very stunning, next to the river and about a 7-minute walk from the center. The room was clean. The room service staff was very nice, the hand was always clean, they always left us extra Nespresso capsules, the drink in the room’s minibar was free. The breakfast was excellent, the view from the dining room on the 18th floor of the hotel with a spectacular view of the city of Vienna in all directions. The hotel staff was always smiling, trying to help and give explanations, During our stay, the weather was stormy, and there was a problem with one of the windows.
Modern hotel with friendly staff
The staff at Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom Hotel were very welcoming, helpful, efficient and attentive to customers’ needs. Dining at the restaurant on the highest level (Le Loft) was memorable; there’s such a panoramic view of the area. Food and service were great too. The bed was truly very comfortable such that it was difficult getting out of bed each morning. The only snag was the TV.

A classic European Hotel
In Vienna, if you’re staying at any spot on Ringstrasse, you’re fine. The hotel is minutes from Schottentor Hub Station, allowing you enough choices to travel around the city. The front house staff were superb and friendly. The breakfast was exceptional. The rooms that we booked are more or less the legacy of the classical European hotel architecture, which is quite new for us.
Not a 5 stars hotel
The hotel is good but definitely not a 5 stars. A good 4 stars. I have been to 5 stars across the world and the facilities are higher than in this hotel. We were upgraded to a “junior suite”. Can you imagine a suite without Sofa? That was the case.

Lovely hotel with amazing breakfast/restaurant, just a bit noisy
This hotel is lovely. It’s beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and the bed was big and comfy. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included with our stay and it was amazing. So many choices on the buffet, and you’re able to order off the menu as well.
Great Stay at a Beautiful Oasis
Stayed at the San Souci Wein for 3 days with my wife and 22 year old daughter. I must admit that the Hotel is usually a bit pricey but I got a great deal on a room rate for Jr. Suite with real beds for 3 adults, which can be hard to find. Our room had a full bath (with a chandelier!) and a separate half-bath as well which really helped with 3 people in the room. Anyway, the location is fabulous, right across from the Modern Museum and the Leopold Museum, which, as a side note, are in a great courtyard area with cool cafes and outdoor lounging areas.
