Strongly recommend this hotel. Room is clean, airy and huge. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is huge. However, I am not too crazy about the food as it is pretty bland to me. After my first dinner, I ended with Uber Eat everyday.
Pleasant surprise
Was looking for a place to stay for a quick upland trip to Johannesburg from the Free State and got much more than expected. For our needs the location was perfect and all extras actually made it fell like a mini leisure getaway. The establishment was immaculate, felt safe, the restaurant food was perfectly prepared by the chef, all the service was perfect and the staff are all professional and made us feel welcome and special. Rooms are very nice besides outside look
The outside and the reception area don’t look like muchand in need of renovation but the rooms are perfect. Spacious enough with comfortable bed (the duvet as everywhere very warm if you get covered with so I hasd to move the inside) with a desk and chair. I didn’t use the airconditioning so I don’t have an opinion. The wifi was working great. The bathroom was spacious too with toiletries and towels.
Perfect stay for the Family or a quick break from reality
The staff was really nice and helpful all of the time I will revisit them again perfect for a family also. Loved the indoor pool and hot tub there is also a sona that my husband enjoyed alot. The Breakfast was Halaal but everything was really nice and alot to choose from. Thanks for the stay at your hotel The one room we booked 212 the TV did not have a TV box like the other rooms and the aircon also did not work properly.

I had a wonderful stay at this Sunbury B&B in Johannesburg. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city with Uber Taxi and nearby shopping centre. Affordable accommodation in a great location
I was warmly greeted by staff and felt they went above and beyond to assist and make my stay comfortable. The accommodation is fully gated and the pool was excellent. The breakfast was delicious. The area is walkable although it’s best to be aware of the surroundings depending on the time of day. I hope to return! There is no air conditioning in the house, although the staff was able to provide me with a fan.

Clean Hotel with friendly staff
I got a very large room with bedroom, lounge and bathroom. The room had double doors to a lovely and large outside area that was for the exclusive use of the room – it was nice to sit outside and relax and have a cigarette etc. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I did not eat there so I cannot comment on the food. The only 2 cons were: 1) My GPS struggled to find the hotel from the address provided on their web site 2) The second time that i parked, it was a mission to find my room as they seem to have 2 lift shafts that do not take both take you to your room – I could not figure this out, but their very friendly staff helped me find the correct lift etc Even though the hotel is in town, I did not feel unsafe driving there.

It was great, the receptionists tried by all means to make sure that we get everything we need, but their associated restaurant was a flop because we needed breakfast in bed but we were told that its impossible due to previous incidents of people eating more than once,on check in they couldn’t find my receipt/invoice which i sent to their emai due to the fact that their internet system was down during the time i sent through my email,i had to send it again, which wasted my time because we took almost 45 minutes waiting for our room to be approved, i guess I’ll have to print out my invoice before going to the hotel next time.
