I have been spending about 3 to 4 weeks in Ubud every vacation for over ten years, and I must also stay a few days in Buwana. Every time I visit Ubud, I have stayed in various places ranging from inexpensive options to expensive hotels costing tens of thousands of won per night, and Buwana is one of my favorite hotels in Ubud. Buwana is located in a quiet area with a well-kept garden and a small rice field near the hotel. The rooms are very spacious, not cramped at all, with marble floors that don’t accumulate dust and don’t have any bad odors. There’s a terrace where you can sit and enjoy a beer leisurely, and the view is lush and refreshing.

Not a fake review, im from NY and Philly and travelled to most southeast asian countries. We went to 2 other hotels while in Bali and this was the only one that actually felt like the postcards. Every morning we woke up to a gorgeaous garden and the sound of a running waterfall with light chirps of birds in the background. Breakfast: A La Carte Pool: Clean and gorgeous (1ft/3ft/and 5ft deep) Beds: Confortable (this is saying alot because I have back injuries) Location: Just a bit outside of the city center, which is perfect to avoid crazy traffic on some days. Ubud has so much to offer you dont always need to goto city center so it was nice being outside of traffic.

Great Location and Staff, But Bathroom Design Needs Rethinking
The hotel is very well located in Ubud, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The rooms, at first glance, are clean, well-organised, and thoughtfully arranged. However, there are two key downsides. First, there was a noticeable smell of humidity in the room, which detracted a bit from the otherwise pleasant environment. Second—and more importantly—the bathroom design really lacks privacy.

Short 10 minute walk walk to Patong Street Beach and 7 minute walk to Bangla Road. It is on a side street, so it is quieter than other hotels in the area. The pool area was very nice. The hotel seemed like it was the safest one near Bangla road. The hotel had a very relaxing vibe which was a nice escape from the busy and bustling streets near Bangla road.

Really nice staff and villa
Honest review from someone who travels all the time, the property its self is very beautiful. The landscaping is very well done and very beautiful to wake up to every morning. It’s very bright green and well maintained. Pool area is quiet and very nice with a really pretty view of rice fields. The staff is amazing, they are so nice and welcoming me and my wife really enjoyed them.

Great resort worth to be praised
The first sight when entering the lobby, we felt astonished. The villa locates at the edge of the valley and the view outbound was amazing! We booked pool side villa, and there was really a pool! It was not just like a bathtub, but a pool an adult can swim! The villa was spacious, typical Balinese style with refined and elegant decorations, the complimentary gift and welcome fruit were placed in order. Regard of accommodation condition, this was the best one among 4 resorts we lived in Bali. The resort provides complimentary delivery services, not only pick us up from pier Sanur, but also send us off to our next hotel in Jimbalan beach! Since the location is close to downtown and much food choice outside, we only had breakfast there and it was beyond average, enough for guest also one could only order one set. Close to the resort, there is the famous Naughty Nuri’s Warung, don’t miss their delicious grilled spare rib! The infinity pool I must strongly recommend, quite, peace, and breathtaking beautiful! We went to Ubud Place, Monkey Garden, we also booked a car from the resort for a half-day-long tour to Elephant Hole, Saint Spring Temple, Kintamani Vocalno and Rice Terraces.

5 nights and 6 days ❶ Check-in → Smooth. First, we were greeted with cold towels and cold ginger tea. Already, the view from the entrance is amazing 🎶 We arrived in Bali early in the morning and got to the hotel just after 10 AM. However, they informed us that the room was ready, so they let us check in at 11 AM. We were tired, so this was a huge help.

The view from the room was stunning , rooms very large so u could spread out , we paid a bit extra for a balcony and spent a lot of time out there reading , working and enjoying the views Staff were very welcoming in every area , from reception to gardeners, , to breakfast staff esp egg chef to cleaners , all very friendly and obviously take great pride in their roles. Pools were fabulous ! Both pools were Very enjoyable with both offering spectacular views and sculptures. The hotel is set on the cliff side so be prepared for lots of steps , this is a good thing if ur trying to get ur steps up as everything is up or down , Bathrooms are tired , with water such a precious commodity, they need to get rid of the baths in the rooms , most are old and cracked anyway ,two large towels only no hand towel given Breakfast options were standard , nothing spectacular except the eggs/omelettes which were cooked to yr instructions , We unfortunately have to mention our evening meal which we choose a la cart , mine was beef rendang with rice & veggies ,. The veggies and rice were cold like they had just come out of the fridge and beef as tough as nails, not very nice at all , My partners meal was prawns ,which were scarce in quantity and tough and his accompanying side dish was cold as well !, and finally to add insult to our night we were served warm beer ,and I mean warm absolutely room temp , very disappointing, and we didn’t return. I will add it’s not a place to stay if u don’t enjoy steps , it’s a climb everywhere but this isn’t a negative rather a shout out to those who don’t enjoy a decent walk up and down to your rooms to yr reception and to the pools , just thought I should mention that ,.

Location, location location!!!
The hotels beautiful. The rooms are large and pretty. The staff are lovely. Have stayed in Ubud a few times before and have always felt a little bit too far out and needed a taxi or a scooter to get anywhere decent to eat or drink at or even just for any nice places or little stores to explore. And to be honest we weren’t going to return as we felt like we’d do e Ubud enough times now and didn’t feel the need to go back however we changed our mind at the last minute as we had a few nights to spare within our Bali holiday and thought let’s try it out 1 more time but be closer to the main area and within walking distance to many cafes and restaurants etc.
