Room Information

My room at Centre Point Plus Hotel Silom was a spacious haven, far more expansive than I typically expect, which felt like a true luxury. The design was practical yet comfortable, with individual air conditioning that allowed me to set my own perfect temperature. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful details like the bathrobes and complimentary toiletries, which added a touch of pampering to my evenings. Waking up to the views of the Chao Phraya River and IconSiam from my balcony was a serene start to each day, a quiet moment of beauty. The inclusion of a small kitchen area in some rooms, complete with an induction stove and washing machine, made longer stays feel incredibly convenient, almost like a home away from home. While the rooms were generally well-maintained, a few guests did mention the occasional road noise or that the air conditioning control could be a bit finicky—small details that might be worth noting if you’re particularly sensitive.

I had a good rest and I’m leaving now.

10.0

It was an overall satisfactory hotel regarding price, location, cleanliness, staff attitude, etc. 1. I chose a river view room and was assigned to the 20th floor. Even though the 26th floor is the top, I could sufficiently enjoy an open view of the Chao Phraya River from the 20th floor. I could also see Icon Siam across the river. There is a very small balcony, but since it’s outside, I couldn’t stay out for long.

I stayed in a family suite at Riverview. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, electric kettle, two-burner stove, toaster, frying pan, pots, cutlery, dishes, along with dish soap and sponge. There is a washing machine with detergent, a foldable drying rack that can hold laundry for a family of four, and hangers. Every day, we received two bottles of water per person, and there was a large dining table – all very convenient for staying with children. I absolutely hate dealing with a mountain of laundry after a fun trip, so I did laundry every day during our stay.

At TONGTARA RIVERVIEW HOTEL (SHA Plus+), the warmth of the welcome truly made an impression. The staff were consistently praised for their kind and helpful demeanor, always ready to assist with a genuine smile. It felt like they were attentive without hovering, ensuring every need was met, whether it was arranging laundry service or helping with printing important documents at the front desk. The concierge service was a particular comfort, always available to answer inquiries or offer recommendations, which felt especially gracious. Having Wi-Fi readily available in both the public areas and my room meant I was always connected, a little thing that matters so much when you’re exploring a new city. While the staff were largely wonderful, a few guests mentioned that some team members occasionally faced a slight challenge with English, though this rarely impacted their willingness to help. The availability of 24-hour room service also added a layer of ease, ensuring comfort was always just a call away.

Room Information

My room at TONGTARA RIVERVIEW HOTEL (SHA Plus+) offered a comfortable retreat, and securing a river view room truly transformed the experience. Waking up to the serene Chao Phraya River flowing by, with glimpses of city landmarks, made each morning feel special. The room was equipped with the essentials for a cozy stay, including air conditioning, a television for winding down, and a mini-bar for a refreshing drink. While many found the experience lovely, some noted that parts of the hotel, like the bathrooms, showed their age and might benefit from a fresh touch. There were also occasional mentions of street noise filtering through window gaps in some rooms, or that the beds could feel a bit firm to some preferences. Despite these minor points, the sense of having a personal space with a beautiful view was a comforting highlight.

Yes…with hesitancy

8.4

In all honesty, the facility is fine. A bit older perhaps. However, we clearly booked for 3 adults with a suite and a fold bed listed on the Agoda reservation. There was no bed. It is absolutely untenable.

Certainly, the location is inconvenient, but…

I requested a city view room on the 15th floor. Despite arriving close to 2 AM, they were kind and accommodating. The room was bright and spacious, and the air conditioning was just right, making for a comfortable stay. The view was wonderful, and I spent most of the time with the curtains wide open (laughs). Perhaps to cater to Westerners, the toilet paper is placed far from the toilet, and you have to stretch your hand to reach it; it takes time for the flush to work a second time after the first.

Hotel Services

The Theatre Residence truly excels in making guests feel seen and cared for, with staff who embodied genuine hospitality. From the moment I arrived, the team was consistently described as friendly, helpful, and efficient, always ready with a warm smile that made me feel instantly at ease. It was the little things that mattered here—like their willingness to accommodate early arrivals with breakfast bags, a thoughtful detail that spoke volumes. The concierge was a true gem, assisting with everything from tour bookings to navigating local transport, though a few guests noted some language barriers with specific staff members, which was a minor point in an otherwise seamless experience. The hotel also offered a convenient shuttle service to nearby shopping and dining, reducing any stress about getting around. Their problem-solving skills, when needed, were excellent, showing a commitment to ensuring a smooth and memorable stay.

Room Information

My room at Theatre Residence felt like a beautifully curated personal space, spacious and tastefully decorated with a modern aesthetic that still felt warm. The unique design, reflecting the owner’s artistic background, truly stood out, creating an atmosphere that was both elegant and inviting. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and the water pressure in the shower was consistently perfect—small luxuries that make a big difference. Having plenty of storage space meant I could truly unpack and settle in. Some rooms even featured separate kitchens, which added an incredible sense of convenience, making it feel less like a hotel room and more like a quiet retreat. While the overall comfort was high, a few guests mentioned that the windows could be a bit challenging to open, and occasionally the AC made a bit of noise. Also, a subtle step into the bathroom was noted by some as a potential hazard, and the absence of a full-length mirror was a minor oversight.

Dining Experience

Dining at The Theatre Residence was an experience that blended convenience with delightful flavors. The breakfast buffet at the hotel’s coffee shop offered a pleasant start to the day, featuring a mix of pastries, hot dishes, and specialty coffees. While some guests found the selection leaned more towards international tastes with fewer Thai dishes, others praised its deliciousness and the lovely riverside views that accompanied the meal. The hotel’s restaurant provided a diverse menu of local and international cuisine, served with the tranquil backdrop of the river. I particularly enjoyed the option for grocery deliveries, which added a practical touch to my stay. However, a few reviewers did mention slow service and sometimes mediocre food when ordering by the pool, and some found the coffee at breakfast to be of varying quality. Despite these minor points, the overall dining options contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Very good

7.2

It was a beautiful hotel. The reception was outdoors under a roof, so it was a bit humid, but I was happy they prepared a cool towel and a sweet welcome drink for us. However, the drink was too sweet for us, and just one or two sips were enough. Since we made the reservation late, we didn’t get a room with a view of the river, but the entire hotel felt modern, and I thought all the rooms must be very beautiful and serene. If you’re traveling with children, it might be good to choose a room on the first floor for easy access to the pool.

Unforgettable Off-the-Beaten Quaint Hotel

you will never forget the first time you arrive, after passing by temples and a market, you go narrower and narrower into an alleyway you feel like you’ve taken a wrong turn – as you’ve already passed by cart sellers and monks. When you arrive, a quaint, unsuspecting 2 storey glass building fronting a meditation garden and exhibitions parade on display as the early as the front desk. I knew I’ve booked the perfect getaway for a solo trip. Just around the corner, the decibel gradually increases as you encounter a dry market offering a diversity of food, souvenirs, and even a fortune teller stall which I was so tempted to go in but they didn’t speak English. For extra culture trip, the Alms Giving early morning for monks is a must – in experiencing the Thai way of gratitude and alternately receiving blessing from the monks themselves.

An ordinary day that is very special.

This is probably a Top 5 on our list of the best hotels to stay at right now. With an excellent location, Charoenkrung is a street with many delicious restaurants. We ordered food to eat in our room through Grab. The kindness of the lobby staff not only delivered our order but also provided bowls and cutlery. This is something even a 5-star hotel typically doesn’t do.

More satisfaction than survival.

I booked this place because it was conveniently close, as I’m staying in Asok for 2 nights and then in Thasalil for 3 nights, and I wanted to pack and shower comfortably before my early morning flight. I arrived early at noon, thinking it would take a long time, so I went to the 8th floor to have some beer. It’s cool because there’s air conditioning! While I was drinking, they brought my key and cookies to the 8th floor since I had moved my luggage, which was so touching.
