Regarding the hotel room, I had been worried about the smell of sewage and insect issues, but there were none at all! The water facilities, towels, and sheets were all clean with no strange stains. Japanese outlets can be used without a converter, and there are two available! There’s also a coin laundry where you can buy detergent at the front desk! Although they don’t speak Japanese, the hotel staff were very kind, and I had a pleasant 3-night stay. Check-out is at 12 o’clock, so you can take your time. I also thought it was nice that you can request cleaning until 5 PM. I stayed here because there was a concert at the KSPO Dome.
Perfect for solo travel!
The receptionist spoke Japanese, so when I asked her where I could buy snacks and pharmacy items in the evening, she kindly gave me detailed directions. Furthermore, when I called because the sink plug in my room was stuck and I couldn’t figure out how to open it, she came directly to my room to help me, which was very helpful. The solution was simply to push the plug itself, which was not easy to understand, haha. The location is perfect, right in front of COEX Mall and Samseong Station. There are SE type outlets in two places, at the bedside and the desk.

I’m GLAD I came here
I wanted to switch it up by staying at a different hotel this year, so I decided on Glad, being that I had passed it a few times. I was celebrating my birthday, and my trip started off horrible by me losing my passport on the first day that I arrived. I suffer from extreme anxiety and basically had a panic attack the second I arrived at the hotel to find that I lost my documents. The front desk was so pleasantly accommodating even though I wanted to cry under a table. I was leaving for Busan in 24 hours the next morning, so you can only imagine the stress of my situation.

11 day stay
The location is great, especially when traveling to and from the Incheon Airport. The airport bus is in front of the hotel and the departing bus to the airport is about a 2-minute walk. It is about a 11-minute walk, give or take, from the Line 7 subway and there are three tiny convenience stores nearby. The staff are generally nice. There are some unfriendly ones at times but overall, they are generally helpful.

Tourism in the Gangnam and Seongsu-dong area
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days. It is a 5-minute walk to Seongnang Station, which is served by Line 9 and the Sinbundang Line. The access to Yeouido, the Gangnam area, and the Seongsu-dong area was good. There are Daiso, Olive Young, and coffee shops nearby, giving it the feel of a hotel in the city. The hotel was very clean, and the service was good.

Generally satisfactory hotel
First of all, the location is somewhat far if you’re coming from a distance, but relatively close if you’re nearby. It’s located roughly in between Gangnam Station and COEX, and it’s nice that you can walk to both in about 20-30 minutes while enjoying a leisurely stroll. It’s a quiet place, just slightly less than two blocks away from Teheran-ro. There’s a café and convenience store right on the first floor of the building, which is great. Unfortunately, I caught a cold during my stay and was mostly in the room for the entire two nights and three days, but the timing was just right for the cleaning to be done when I stepped out briefly, making for a pleasant environment.
Clean rooms, good location
We stayed here with a whole group and this hotel is pretty good. The rooms are not too small, the bathroom is clean and the beds are ok. We didn’t booked breakfast but there is a 7/11 downstairs where you can buy your breakfast so its pretty convenient. There are loads of restaurants in around the hotel so you will always have options to eat. We rented a car during our stay in SEOUL so location for us was no problem.

Positive points: In July, three of us stayed in a family-type room. We used a double room for one and a single room for two. We managed to get a very cheap rate for three nights. The room was spacious, had a couch, and was comfortable. The location was also good, within walking distance from Gangnam Station.
Exceptional
The location is very good. Nearby, there are CU convenience stores, Neko bakery, and TAKUSIM kebab shop. The kebab was more delicious than the bakery. I ate it for breakfast. The room had a large refrigerator and the heating worked well, so even in February, it was warm enough that I didn’t have to keep it on.

It’s the best accommodation.
My criteria for selecting a hotel were cleanliness, safety, and location in Gangnam, and this hotel met all of them perfectly! Firstly, the location is less than a 10-minute walk straight from Yeongdong station, making it convenient to take the subway. It was also great that taking a taxi back from Gangnam cost around 10,000 won. There’s a Seven-Eleven right next door, and although I thought it was located on an uphill, I felt there was only a slight incline, so it wasn’t inconvenient to walk at all. Having loungewear was also a huge plus. I didn’t have to pack pajamas or clothes to wear around the hotel, which really reduced my luggage.
Clean, friendly, convenient
I stayed in Gangnam for about a week on business. I got off the airport bus at Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam. As soon as you get off and go down the ramp to the left, there is a Dormy Inn right next to it, just a 2-minute walk away. It’s very convenient and easy to understand. The staff at Dormy Inn are very kind and pleasant, clearly well-trained, and you can feel that each staff member has the desire to be helpful.
