The moment you arrive the staff are like a big warm hug of friendliness & welcoming. Located well away from the hustle & bustle the resort truly feels like an oasis. With spectacular views of the river valley you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. The pool is stunning, daily breakfast is scrumptious, complimentary afternoon tea delicious, gym facilities ok, yoga studio(s) yes studios there are more than one are awesome and my villa was excellent. My villa had the most wonderful garden filled with tropical plants, deep plunge pool and flowing river in the valley (that never smelt) No one goes to the complimentary afternoon tea! It’s free! And delicious.
Peace in the jungle
I came to Ubud looking for serenity and calm and I got exactly what I hoped for. I had booked a pool villa, my room was tended to everyday during my 3 days and always done to a high quality. Buffet breakfast was set by the pool and it was simple and adequate, room service efficient and tasty. I enjoyed the massage service a couple of times, the Wos Spa is being renovated which was disappointing however the relocation to an alternative location was lovely. Accessibility to Campuhan Ridge walking track was very close and I enjoyed the walk to the monkey forest and Ubud palace and back to the hotel, the track was used by many people and was a really pleasant experience for a solo female traveller.

A happy honeymoon thanks to you.
While preparing for another overseas trip, I reminisced and decided to write this down. The three most important factors I considered when booking my honeymoon were these: 1. Cost-effectiveness (affordable price) 2. Privacy (places with fewer Koreans) 3. Balinese style I judged that this was a place where all three matched perfectly, so I made the reservation. From what I remember, there was a famous place in Ubud that comes to mind when thinking of that area in our country, but I excluded it due to its outrageous price and the overwhelming number of South Korean tourists. *Satisfaction The reason I visited this place was for my honeymoon, and because it maintained the happiness quotient of the honeymoon, I was very satisfied throughout my stay. Reasons for my happiness: 1. Visual pleasure The wooden feel of the Balinese-style buildings was impressive, and the beauty within the resort pleased the eyes.
The perfect accommodation in Ubud.
The accommodation was really great and I was touched! The food was so delicious that I haven’t had better nasi goreng than what I had here. I liked that it was a semi-buffet style where you could order various dishes and eat freshly made food! I was always very satisfied with breakfast. The staff were very friendly, so I had no inconveniences at all during my stay. There was a shuttle bus, which made it easy to travel back and forth to the city, and it wasn’t far by car! I saved a lot on Grab fees, haha. However, the returning shuttle can be a bit late due to traffic during the day, but it will come if you wait! We stayed in a garden villa and even though we used the outdoor bathtub, we didn’t see any insects.

I had enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The staff were very accommodating and ready to assist you with your every need. Kudos to the restaurant staff, they had left a deep impression on me. They are so welcoming and accommodating. I was always looking forward to breakfast time because of the excellent service provided by the staff.
Beautiful well maintained property but with some issues
The entrance was grand, and we were given a warm welcome. Room was large and clean. Jungle view from the balcony was very good. I was given a lovely surprise birthday greeting and cake by the staff. Food at the restaurant was good.

The best value accommodation.
On the first day, I arrived in Bali late at night and stayed in a deluxe room on the 4th floor. For the remaining 2 nights and 3 days, I stayed in a 1-bedroom pool villa called Kilara. Although my English is not very good, I could feel that all the staff treated us kindly, which was nice. The breakfast was of very high quality and delicious. The best part is that the accommodation is located right in the center of Ubud, so convenience stores, pharmacies, restaurants, souvenir shops, and tourist attractions are all nearby, which was great.
We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days for our honeymoon.
The location is really, really, really good. We chose a pool villa to relax and sightsee without doing activities. Pros: – Location (If you go out and go left straight – Ubud Palace/Ubud Market) (If you go out and go right then turn left – Monkey Forest) Generally, it’s a shopping area so there’s a lot to see. Try to find hidden local restaurants where you can eat for about 2,000 to 3,000 won😊. – Breakfast/Afternoon tea service is really delicious! Breakfast is served until 11 AM, and if you have it as a brunch, you will feel full and won’t buy much outside.

Great first experience in Bali Ubud
First time in Ubud and booked a nice award winning place for my hubby’s birthday. Was upgraded to forest suite with a balcony overlooking the jungle. Service was exceptional, thoughtful and welcoming – we were able to order breakfast to go at 3am for our sunrise trip as well as inroom breakfast for our early check out. As the cooking class was a distance away at the villas, the staff drove us in the hotel car over and picked us up after. You may book the hotel car to send you to your location, or they will assist to book a local taxi which is a comfortable white sedan similar to the hotel car.
Optimal for adult family trips.
Choosing a private pool villa was the best option since it’s not easy for adult children to stay in one room at a hotel, and I am completely satisfied. Especially, the Bismayate villa has an incredibly long pool, about 20 meters in length? The depth is suitable at 1.4 meters, and the walls are wooden, which eliminates any bleakness, and the photos come out beautifully. The modern interior is also very pretty, and although the living room is open to the outdoors, the bedroom is separated by wooden doors that keep the air conditioning comfortable. Having a bathroom in the living room was a plus too. Watching a movie on the living room TV would have felt like an outdoor theater, but unfortunately, due to mosquitoes at night, we couldn’t stay in the living room for too long.

It is much better than Mara River.
The feeding costs were a bit more expensive than Maraliver, but the room reservation costs were nearly 100,000 won cheaper, and the room condition was incomparable. The Maraliver room was really dirty, had a lot of bugs, and the bathroom was open-style, which was the absolute worst; but here, everything was clean. However, there were some ants, but I haven’t seen them since dealing with them. After visiting both places, I would choose this one over Maraliver. It’s a full-access room, so the pool is directly connected to the room, which made it really convenient for the kids to play, and the pool condition was good.
Memorable Stay
It was one of the memorable friendliness and service I ever experienced from the hotel staffs. They remember our preference and cater our needs/requests well. Even the security guard guided and accompanied us during Ogoh2 parade. He even came and greeted us personally during our breakfast time the next day! ❤️ Salute! The property areas were more like intimate in size rather than massive. It was very close to Bali Zoo, walking distance.

Quiet stay near central Ubud
We stayed in a pool villa for 4 nights in January. We loved the style of the villa – the room was spacious and had everything we could need and more. Bed was comfy. The staff were excellent – friendly, helpful in planning tours/activities/drives. Food was good at the restaurant – I recommend the Rendang! The hotel provides a free shuttle service every couple hours to the center of Ubud (~10-15mins) which was really convenient and we used daily to try different restaurants.
The most amazing Ubud retreat
Kayon resort was a perfect Ubud get away for our honeymoon and I am so thankful for all the staff who made it so perfect for us. We will remember this place and the staff for life. Words can’t say how amazing this place was and how thankful we are. From the moment we were greeted at the entrance by staff to when we were waved away from the resort was perfection. We even got a flower bath and flowers on our bed on arrival without asking.
